Austin Payne (Charlottesville, Va./Western Albemarle) poured in five goals to help Randolph-Macon men's lacrosse topple Bridgewater 21-6 on Wednesday evening.

How it Happened
- Austin Payne got the scoring started with a tally one minute into the game and was followed by Avery Tankersley (Baltimore, Md./Boys Latin) to give the Yellow Jackets an early 2-0 lead. The Eagles knotted things up at two with a pair of goals just 30 second apart but RMC scored six times in the final eight minutes of the quarter to boast an 8-2 lead after one.
- RMC continued their run with a goal by Logan Sinsebox (Monkton, Md./Hereford) to open the second frame. Patrick Moyer (Crofton, Md./DeMatha) continued the offense with a goal to reach double digits for RMC. Both sides were quiet until Grant Sobel (Mechanicsville, Va./Christchurch) and Payne each scored to give the Lemon and Black a 12-2 halftime lead.
- Payne's fifth goal of the evening got things going in the second half. It started a seven-goal frame by RMC, including two goals from Ryan Salazar (Arnold, Md./Broadneck) and another two from Jack Smith (Stevensville, Md./DeMatha Catholic) to extend the run out to 17-0 for RMC heading into the fourth quarter.
- The Eagles found their footing in the final stanza, scoring two straight goals to begin the quarter. They were answered by a tally from Walker Wilkinson (Roanoke, Va./Patrick Henry). After a Bridgewater goal, the final RMC goal of the evening came from Cooper Harding (Alexandria, Va./St. Stephens & St. Agnes) with 44 seconds to go. BC would tack on another goal but would fall to RMC 21-6
