FERRUM, Va. – The Randolph-Macon women's tennis team bounced back with a road win at Ferrum in ODAC action on Sunday afternoon to total a ten win season.
The Yellow Jackets started the match with a sweep, totaling three wins in all doubles matches.
Matty Grace Gilliam (Murfreesboro, N.C./Ridgecroft) and
Adele Huffman (Granite Falls, N.C./University Christian) did not allow a point in second doubles to lead the three matches.
Camilla Thurman (Knoxville, Tenn./Knoxville Catholic) and
Catherine Mowry (Lynchburg, Va./Liberty Christian Academy) won 8-1 in first doubles and
Mary Blair Seward (Surry County, Va./Appomattox) and
Layla Gaines (Warsaw, Va./Rappahannock) ended the doubles matches with an 8-1 victory.
In singles, the Lemon and Black won all six matches to take every point in the overall match.
Meckenzie Letellier (Alexandria, Va./Bishop Ireton) and
Elizabeth Key (Moseley, Va./Cosby) both did not allow points in either of their matches to highlight the group in the singles matches. Randolph-Macon would end up completing the full match sweep with wins in every match, for a 9-0 win on the road.

- Emma Turner (Chesapeake, Va./Hickory) (RMC) over Turner (FC) - 6-1,6-0

For the Record:
- Randolph-Macon has not given up a match win to Ferrum since 2012. The Yellow Jackets have swept the Panthers in five straight team matches and have garnered an 8-0 record over Ferrum.
