ROANOKE, Va. – Six different players scored a goal as RMC men's lacrosse fell to Roanoke 20-7 in a non-conference matchup on Saturday.

How it Happened
- Roanoke broke open the scoring just over a minute into the first quarter, but RMC responded with two straight goals. The first goal came from Austin Payne (Charlottesville, Va./Western Albemarle), and the second came from the stick of Mike Allen (Williamsburg, Va./Jamestown) to give RMC a 2-1 lead after three minutes. Roanoke went on to score the final four goals of the frame as they took a 5-2 lead into the second.
- The Maroons kept the pressure on to begin the second quarter, scoring twice in the first four minutes before RMC got a tally from JT Harvey (Ruther Glen, Va./Riverbend) to stop the run. Roanoke scored three straight goals to follow but Payne tallied his second goal to make the deficit 10-4 heading into the half.
- Roanoke shut out the Yellow Jackets in the third frame, scoring six goals of their own to widen the lead. The run extended into the fourth with three more goals, but RMC scored three of the final four goals of the game with Bubba Bowen (Arnold, Md./Broadneck), Jack Smith (Stevensville, Md./DeMatha Catholic), and Matt Williams (Richmond, Va./Trinity Episcopal) each scored a goal in the final 6:30 of the game.

- Will Robertson (Lutherville, Md./Calvert Hall) went 8-15 on faceoffs and picked up six ground balls.
