Jack Smith broke the program record for career points as part of a four-point night as RMC fell to #17 Lynchburg 15-6 on the road.

How it Happened
- Defense was the key in the first frame, as neither team could put up a tally in the opening 10 minutes of the game until Lynchburg got on the board to start the scoring at 5:04 to go in the quarter. The Hornets scored again just 40 seconds later to double the lead and would add another score with just over a minute left to make it 3-0 after one quarter.
- Lynchburg pushed their lead to four after five minutes in the second quarter, but Jack Smith (Stevensville, Md./DeMatha Catholic) was the one to get RMC on the board a minute later. Just 30 seconds later, the Hornets found the back of the net again, but it took just 12 seconds of the next possession for Austin Payne (Charlottesville, Va./Western Albemarle) to score to cut the deficit to 5-2. LYN scored one more goal before the half as they led 6-2 after 30 minutes.
- Lynchburg would net the first three goals of the second half to extend their lead to 9-2 before Avery Tankersley (Baltimore, Md./Boys Latin) notched a goal with 4:52 to go in the third. The Hornets poured in three more goals before the frame was over as they took a 12-3 advantage into the final stanza.
- Jack Smith's second goal of the game kicked off the fourth quarter but the Hornets struck again with three goals in a five minute span to make the lead 15-4. Logan Sinsebox (Monkton, Md./Hereford) and Smith each tallied another goal near the end of the stanza as Lynchburg took a 15-6 win over RMC.
