ASHLAND, Va. – Senior
Jack Smith (Stevensville, Md./DeMatha) recorded a pair of goals and added four assists as the Randolph-Macon men's lacrosse team remained undefeated with a 13-10 victory over Washington College on a soggy Saturday afternoon.

How It Happened:
- The Yellow Jackets started the scoring less than two minutes into the game as sophomore Logan Sinsebox (Monkton, Md./Hereford) netted the initial goal. The Shoremen answered a minute later before sophomore Matthew Sutty (Hockessin, Del./Salesianum) put RMC back on top with the assist by Smith with 9:26 left to make it 2-1. WC would tie it midway through the quarter and added two goals to go up 4-2. Sophomore Brodie Kent (Coquitlam, Canada/Centennial) scored on an assist by Sinsebox as the Yellow Jackets pulled within one at 4-3 with 1:44 left. That would be the score heading to the second period.
- The Shoremen had the first goal of the second quarter before junior Avery Tankersley (Baltimore, Md./Boys Latin) scored on an assist by senior Pat Moyer (Crofton, Md./DeMatha) as RMC trailed 5-4 with 8:17 remaining. WC netted a goal a minute later before Smith scored on an assist by junior Austin Payne (Charlottesville, Va./Western Albemarle) as the Yellow Jackets pulled within one at 6-5 with 5:34 left. Sinsebox had the equalizer with 4:40 remaining to make it 6-6 at halftime.
- Tankersley recorded the first goal of third period with the assist to Sinsebox as RMC took the lead for good at 7-6. Payne scored with 9:45 left to put the home team up 8-6. Freshman JT Harvey (Ruther Glen, Va./Riverbend) added a goal 16 seconds later as the advantage grew to 9-6. WC registered a goal a minute later before senior Ryan Pritchard (Crofton, Md./DeMatha) answered for the Yellow Jackets with 7:18 remaining to make it 10-7. WC netted a man-up goal before RMC added its own man-up goal by Payne with an assist by Smith as the Yellow Jackets led 11-8 with three minutes left. RMC would lead by three heading to the final period.
- WC registered the first goal of the fourth quarter before Payne tallied a man-up goal on a pass from Smith with 12:40 remaining as RMC took a 12-9 advantage. Smith had his second goal with one minute left with the assist to Pritchard. WC scored the final goal of the game to make the final 13-10.
