Box Score ASHLAND, Va. – The Randolph-Macon men's volleyball team wrapped up the regular season with a non-conference tilt against NAIA opponent Carolina University. The Yellow Jackets got ready for conference tournament play with a 3-1 win over the Bruins in Crenshaw Gym.

How it Happened:
- RMC opened the set with the lead and consistently stayed in control of the set, but the Bruins tied it up at 14 to seize some momentum. The Yellow Jackets answered with a 4-0 run and rallied the rest of the set to regain the lead and extend it and take set one, 25-19.
- The Lemon and Black began the second set by jumping out to a 9-4 lead but the Bruins flipped that to go on a 9-4 run of their own to tie it at 13. The remainder of the set went back-and-forth with neither team taking control. RMC was up 20-17 before CU ended the set on an 8-2 run to even the match at one set each.
- Early on in set three, the set was tied 7-7 until RMC went on a 6-1 run to open the set into their favor. Once again, CU answered with a run of their own, pulling within one, but RMC opened the lead back out to five at 18-13. The Yellow Jackets had set point, leading 24-20 and the Bruins tied it with a 4-0 run, but back-to-back kills by Jarrett Carrano (Beaverdam, Va./Patrick Henry) and Owen Hahn (Henrico, Va./Tucker) won set three, 26-24.
- The Yellow Jackets took control of the fourth set and didn't look back. After leading 12-11, a kill by Kolby Gibson (Bumpass, Va./Louisa) sparked a 12-4 run to build their lead and win the match, 3-1.
By the Numbers:
- Kolby Gibson was phenomenal, with a team-high 15 kills and posting a career-high 18 digs in the match. He also had two block assists and seven service aces.
- Jarrett Carrano totaled 13 kills with seven digs and seven blocks as well to help pace the Yellow Jackets.
- Ian Wagenhauser (Glen Allen, Va./Deep Run) had nine kills with just two attack errors to hit at a .318 clip. He also finished with two block assists.
- Kody Rogan (Chesapeake, Va./Hickory) finished the regular season leading the conference in assists with 853, adding 38 assists today. He also finished third in assists per set at 9.48.

Randolph-Macon will be the four seed in the CVC tournament and will host 14th-ranked Rutgers-Newark in Ashland on Tuesday night at 7:00 p.m. for the quarterfinal.
