Box Score ASHLAND, Va. – Sophomore Rianna Lowery (Bel Air, Md./Notre Dame Prep) registered five goals and two assists as the RMC women's lacrosse team dropped a 17-13 ODAC decision to Shenandoah on Wednesday evening.

How It Happened
- The Hornets had the first goal of the game before Lowery answered to tie it at 1-1 with 12:18 left in the first period. SU tallied the next two goals before Lowery notched a second goal on an assist by junior Annie Bartley (Richmond, Va./Mills Godwin) with 8:30 remaining to make it 3-2. After the Hornets pushed the lead back to two, Lowery won the draw control and sophomore Taylor Mittelstadter (Chesterfield, Va./Manchester) scored with 6:17 left to make it 4-3. Mittelstadter won the subsequent draw control and Lowery assisted freshman Lilly Fowler (Phoenix, Md./Notre Dame Prep) on her first goal, leveling the score at 4-4 with five minutes remaining. The first quarter would end deadlocked at 4-4.
- SU scored two minutes into the second period before a goal by Mittelstadter a minute later tied it at 5-5. The Hornets would net the next two scores before Bartley converted on a free position shot with eight minutes left as RMC trailed 7-6. SU scored the next three goals before a second goal by Fowler on an assist by senior Logan Schweiger (Church Hill, Md./Queen Anne's County) made it 10-7 with 4:25 remaining, which would be the halftime score.
- Mittelstadter won the draw control to start the second half, which led to a goal by Lowery which was assisted by Bartley as the Yellow Jackets pulled within two at 10-8. SU pushed the lead back to three before Bartley scored on a free position shot with 12 minutes left to make it 11-9. The Hornets had the next three goals before Lowery assisted sophomore Evie McNeally (Severna Park, Md./Archbishop Spalding) as RMC trailed 14-10 with eight minutes remaining. SU had the final two goals of the quarter to lead 16-10.
- Lowery scored one minute into the fourth period to make it 16-11. McNeally scored on an assist by Bartley with 11:30 left to pull within four at 16-12. A Hornet goal was answered by Lowery with 9:30 remaining, making it 17-13. Neither team scored the rest of the way as the game ended 17-13.

- RMC had five players score multiple goals. Lowery led the way with five. Bartley had two goals and three assists for five points. McNeally, Mittelstadter and Fowler each scored two goals.
- The Yellow Jackets had a 19-15 advantage in draw controls. Mittelstadter paced the Yellow Jackets with seven, while Lowery snagged four.
- Junior Emma Taylor (Huntingtown, Md./Huntingtown) had four ground balls, while junior Abi Detrich (Federalsburg, Md./Easton) and freshman Emma Moxham (Street, Md./Garrison Forest School) both had two.
- Taylor recorded six saves.
