Box Score DANVILLE, Va. – Sophomores Rianna Lowery (Bel Air, Md./Notre Dame Prep) and Evie McNeally (Severna Park, Md./Archbishop Spalding) both scored five goals as the RMC women's lacrosse team posted a 21-11 ODAC victory at Averett on Saturday evening.

How It Happened
- The Cougars had the first two goals of the contest before Lowery scored on a free position shot with eight minutes left in the first period to make it 2-1. McNeally added two goals in less than a minute, with Lowery assisting on the second, as the Yellow Jackets took their first lead at 3-2. After AU leveled the score at 3-3, freshman Lilly Fowler (Phoenix, Md./Notre Dame Prep) scored with 4:22 remaining as RMC went up 4-3. Fowler assisted a goal by senior Kayla Ross (Gambrills, Md./Arundel) with two minutes left as the lead grew to 5-3. Senior Logan Schweiger (Church Hill, Md./Queen Anne's County) scored on an assist by freshman Emma Moxham (Street, Md./Garrison Forest School) with 54 seconds left as the Yellow Jackets led 6-3 after one quarter. RMC was successful on 5 of 6 clear attempts and committed just one turnover.
- Sophomore Taylor Mittelstadter (Chesterfield, Va./Manchester) scored on a free position shot with a player advantage to extend the Yellow Jacket lead to 7-3 one minute into the second period. AU netted two quick goals to cut the deficit in half before Lowery converted another free position shot as RMC went up 8-5 with 10:21 remaining in the quarter. Lowery talked her third goal of the game as the margin again grew to four at 9-5 with 4:30 left. The Cougars added a goal before McNeally finished a free position shot with 2:25 remaining to make it 10-6. Lowery scored twice in the final two minutes to push her game total to five as RMC led 12-6 at intermission. Senior Italia Carnazza (Fairfax, Va./Paul VI) had five draw controls in the first half for the Yellow Jackets.
- The Cougars tallied two quick goals to start the third period before Mittelstadter converted a free position shot to halt the run and give the visitors a 13-8 advantage. Junior Annie Bartley (Richmond, Va./Mills Godwin) scored with 9:36 remaining to make it 14-8. Two minutes later, McNeally assisted junior Amelia Davis (Davidsonville, Md./South River) on her first goal of the game to give RMC a 15-8 lead. Sophomore Amanda Maxwell (Baltimore, Md./Loch Raven) scored on a free position shot with five minutes left to make it 16-8. Davis added a goal on an assist by Moxham to extend the lead to 17-8 with 1:38 left. AU scored with 22 seconds remaining before Bartley converted a free position shot with three seconds left as the Yellow Jackets led 18-9 after three quarters.
- Moxham scored on a free position shot less than a minute into the final period to give RMC a 10-goal lead at 19-9. The Cougars collected a goal with 12 minutes left before McNeally answered with an assist from Bartley to make it 20-10 with 9:15 remaining. AU converted a free position shot with three minutes left before McNeally notched her fifth goal of the contest to make the final 21-11.
