Box Score ASHLAND, Va. – The Randolph-Macon men's lacrosse team hosted St. Mary's College of Maryland for the second leg of their three-game home stand to begin the season. RMC put on a clinic in the second half to take the win 16-10.

How It Happened
- Austin Payne (Charlottesville, Va./Western Albemarle) opened the scoring just 26 seconds into the game to give the Yellow Jackets a 1-0 advantage early. The Seahawks turned the deficit around to take a 3-1 lead. Bubba Bowen (Arnold, Md./Broadneck) and Jack Smith (Stevensville, Md./DeMatha) tallied goals at the end of the first to only trail 4-3 after one.
- The Seahawks scored three of the first four goals in the second before Duncan O'Brien (Virginia Beach, Va./Frank W. Cox) ignited a 3-0 run to end the second, which included a man-up goal by Avery Tankersley (Baltimore, Md./Boys Latin) with 34 seconds to go. The game was tied at seven after 30 minutes of play.
- Bowen opened the third with a goal that continued the run for RMC that stetched out to a seven-goal swing as RMC tallied the next three goals to extend the lead to 11-7, shutting out the Seahawks in the third.
- SMCM showed life, scoring the first two goals of the fourth, but Bubba Bowen took control, with three points in a 1:28 (one goal, two assists) to build the lead back to 14-9, allowing RMC to put the game into cruise control. Jack Smith buried the final two goals of the game for his fourth and fifth goals of the night, capping off a 16-10 win.
