Box Score ASHLAND, Va. – The Randolph-Macon men's volleyball team hosted Roanoke for the Maroons' first conference matchup as a program. The Yellow Jackets rode a packed crowd to sweep Roanoke in straight sets, 3-0.

How it Happened:
- RMC started hot, opening a 5-1 lead early in the first set after a pair of kills by Ian Wagenhauser (Glen Allen, Va./Deep Run). They kept the pedal down, extending the lead to eight, leading 20-12 before cruising the rest of the way to a 25-16 set one win.
- Ian Wagenhauser stole the spotlight in the second set, finishing the set with an incredible 10 kills, setting a program record for kills in a set. RMC pulled away late in the set to take set two, 25-22.
- The third set was similar to the second, as the lead went back and forth with RMC opening a 17-13 lead which was the largest of the set by either team. It went back and forth the remainder of the set, as the set went into deuce, with neither team being able to win by two. Finally, a kill by Kolby Gibson (Bumpass, Va./Louisa) and an ace by Gibson proved to be the game-winning sequence, winning 34-32 to sweep the match.
By the Numbers:
- Wagenhauser was the man of the match, with 22 kills and an impressive .690 hitting percentage. Proving to be nearly unstoppable at the net.
- Jarrett Carrano (Beaverdam, Va./Patrick Henry) and Kolby Gibson also had 10 kills each, with Carrano hitting .421 on the night.
- Kody Rogan set up the hitters well, totaling 38 assists on the night.
- As a team, RMC hit .361, which is their third highest output of the season. Their 47 kills were their most in a three-set match this season.
