ASHLAND, Va. – The Randolph-Macon women's soccer team scored first but the Quakers answered soon after to end the match in a draw, in front of the home fans at Nunnally Field. The tilt was featured as part of the 2023 Homecoming celebration as well as Senior Day for Head Coach
Carly Gettler's side.

How it Happened
- Randolph-Macon put together a nice play off a free kick that saw Lauren Brokaw (Glen Allen, Va./Glen Allen) and Ally Spangler (Daleville, Va./Lord Botetourt) two touch pass to Olivia Owens (Salisbury, Md./James M. Bennett) that finished it in the net in the 21st minute.
- The Quakers answered in just six minutes later on a Baylee Greenwood penalty kick to tie the game up at 1-1.
- The Yellow and Black controlled the rest of the first half having put up only three shots on goal, but had multiple runs at goal.
- In the second half the crowd saw no go-ahead goals or goals at all. The Yellow Jackets put up eight great shots on frame, but the net-minder for the Quakers Madison Musgrave stopped them all.
Inside the Numbers
- Randolph-Macon outshot the Quakers 25-to-8. The Yellow Jackets put up 16 shots on goal, compared to Guilfords' three.
- The Lemon and Black had five corner opportunities, as Guilford managed to get six corner opportunities.
- Owens matched her career high in goals with nine on the season.
- Brokaw and Spangler both notched their second assists of the year.
- Zoe Long (Midlothian, Va./Midlothian)made three saves in 90 minutes.
