Lauren Brokaw (Glen Allen, Va./Glen Allen) put the Yellow Jackets in front in the first five minutes, but a late first half penalty kick goal by Lynchburg would end the game in a 1-1 draw.

How it Happened
- The Yellow Jackets started the game fast, scoring a goal in the third minute from Brokaw that was lobbed in by Ally Spangler (Daleville, Va./Lord Botetourt).
- Randolph-Macon's defensive line of Kelly Rogers (Crozet, Va./Western Albemarle), Abigail Pesut (Virginia Beach, Va./Kellam), Charlotte Bradshaw (Boydton, Va./Bluestone) and Lily Alexander (Wake Forest, N.C./Wakefield) held the Hornet attack in check for the next 37 minutes to keep Lynchburg off the scoreboard.
- McKenna Dahm converted a penalty kick in the 40th minute, coming off of a RMC handball in the box to tie up the score at 1-1, going into the halftime break.
- Brokaw was a fingertip save by Jade Lecklider away from putting the Lemon and Black back on top early in the second half.
- Owens had a great chance with five minutes left in the match to score the potential game-winning goal, but was turned away by the Hornet net-minder.
