Box Score 2 DALLAS, Pa. – Junior Cade Terrell (Glen Allen, Va./Deep Run) had 24 assists in the win over Medaille, while freshman Kody Rogan (Chesapeake, Va./Hickory) recorded 36 assists and freshman Ian Wagenhauser (Glen Allen, Va./Deep Run) registered 17 kills in the victory over host Misericordia, as the R-MC men's volleyball team won twice on the final day of the Cougar Kickoff Classic.

How it Happened (Match 1):
- The Mavericks scored the first point of Game 1 before a kill by freshman Davis Luck (Ashland, Va./Patrick Henry) sparked a three-point run for the Yellow Jackets. Medaille had an 8-7 edge before a kill by senior Daniel Nguyen (Glen Allen, Va./Glen Allen) started a 11-5 spurt as R-MC led 18-13. The lead grew to six at 22-16 before the Mavs scored four of the next five points to pull within three at 23-20. A kill by freshman Hank Foglia (Remsenburg, N.Y./ESM) and an attack error by Medaille gave R-MC a 25-20 win.
- Medaille jumped out to a quick 4-1 lead in the second game before a Luck kill eventually tied it at 13-13. After a point by the Mavs, a kill by sophomore Mitchell Wyatt (Prince George, Va./Prince George) sparked a four-point run as the Yellow Jackets took a 17-14 advantage. The lead grew to four at 20-16 before the Yellow Jackets recorded the 25-21 victory.
- R-MC would tally the first two points in Game 3 and the lead quickly grew to seven at 12-5. A block by Foglia and freshman Brooks Cowart (Glen Allen, Va./Glen Allen) made it 19-11. A kill by sophomore Owen Hahn (Henrico, Va./Tucker) and a service ace by Nguyen finished the third game at 25-16 to give the win to the Yellow Jackets.

How it Happened (Match 2):
- The Cougars had the first three points of Game 1 and led 8-7 before senior Jarrett Carrano (Beaverdam, Va./Patrick Henry) had two kills in a five-point spurt as the Yellow Jackets took a 12-8 lead. MU would tie it at 13-13 before a kill by Wagenhauser and an attack error put R-MC on top 15-13. The Yellow Jackets were up 20-16 before a 4-1 run pulled the home team within one at 21-20. R-MC would score the final four points, including a pair of kills by junior Gio DeLuca (Glen Allen, Va./Glen Allen) as the Yellow Jackets won 25-20.
- A kill by DeLuca and two by Wagenhauser helped R-MC build an early 4-1 lead in the second game. Three straight kills by senior Kolby Gibson (Bumpass, Va./Louisa) stretched the advantage to 10-4. Another Gibson kill made it 19-10 before the Yellow Jackets posted a 25-16 win in Game 2.
- The teams alternated points early before a kill by freshman Phillip Van Essendelft (Chesapeake, Va./Hickory) gave R-MC its first lead at 5-4. A kill by Carrano gave the Yellow Jackets a nine-point lead at 21-12 before 10-3 run by MU made it 24-22. Wagenhauser had a kill to seal the win in the game and the match.
