Box Score ASHLAND, Va. – The Randolph-Macon Field Hockey team hosted a matinee non-conference matchup with Goucher College Saturday afternoon. R-MC walked away with the win in dominant fashion thanks to a hat trick by Mackenzie Wunderlich.

How it Happened
- R-MC lit up the scoreboard early in the first, as just over a minute into the game, sophomore midfielder Alaina McCoy (Fredricksburg, Va./Stafford) got on the board to begin what would be a great offensive day for R-MC.
- Senior midfielder Catherine Magill (Moseley, Va./Trinity Episcopal School) added a goal on a pass from McCoy at the end of the first to push the lead to two.
- The Yellow Jackets poured on two goals in the second quarter as sophomore forward Mackenzie Wunderlich (Midlothian, Va./Trinity Episcopal School) and junior forward Raegan Williams (Chesapeake, Va./Western Branch) found the back of the cage.
- Wunderlich added her second tally of the game in the third quarter, extending the lead to five.
- Goucher showed fight, scoring early in the fourth quarter, but R-MC would add two more, one from junior midfielder Aja Washington (Chesapeake, Va./Grassfield) and another being the hat trick goal for Wunderlich.

- R-MC outshot the Gophers 29-4 and 24-2 on goal.
- Wunderlich's hat trick comes as the first three goals of her career in a memorable performance.
- McCoy added a goal and two assists to her season totals. She leads the team with eight points this season.
- Freshman goalkeeper Cathryn Short (Henrico, Va./Saint Catherine's) picks up the first win of her young career in just her second start.
- Sophomore defender Ashlyn White (Frederick, Md./Urbana) added a spark defensively to keep the lead.
