ASHLAND, Va. – Valentina Ambrogi-Torres (Richmond, Va./Trinity Episcopal School) has been named to the Virginia Sports Information Directors (VaSID) Field Hockey All-State Second Team for the 2025 season.

The reigning Old Dominion Athletic Conference Defensive Player of the Year finished with career-bests in saves (155), save percentage (.876), goals allowed per game (1.14) and shutouts (nine). In anchoring nine shutouts, the junior guided her team to the most in a single season in the history of the program, including the postseason. 
 
After stopping 155 of her 178 shots faced, Ambrogi-Torres' .876 save percentage ranked second in the nation. Furthermore, her 155 total saves and 8.16 saves per game were good for 16th and 24th in the country, respectively.
 
The Yellow Jackets posted a 12-7 overall record, their most wins since 2023.
