Box Score 2 WINCHESTER, Va. – Sophomore Hunter Cole (Norfolk, Va./Granby) had three hits and four RBI as the Randolph-Macon baseball team was swept in an ODAC doubleheader at No. 23 Shenandoah on Saturday afternoon.

How It Happened – Game 1:
- The Hornets got one run in the first before the Yellow Jackets answered in the fourth. Sophomore Myles Webb (Norfolk, Va./Granby) had a one-out single, moved to second on a base hit by junior Carter Johnson (Southampton, Va./Southampton) and went to third on a single by junior Brooks Mazey (Glen Allen, Va./Deep Run). Webb was out at the plate on a fielder's choice. Junior Logan Smith (Midlothian, Va./Midlothian) was hit by a pitch to bring home Johnson and sophomore Grayson Bush (Charlottesville, Va./Monticello) walked to drive in Mazey as R-MC went up 2-1.
- SU tied it in the sixth and put up four in the seventh to take a 6-2 advantage. In the top of the eighth, Cole singled and scored on a groundout by Webb. Junior Ethan Iannuzzi (Chesterfield, Va./Cosby) doubled and came home on a groundout as the Yellow Jackets pulled within two at 6-4. The Hornets added an insurance run in the bottom of the eighth.
- R-MC would rally in the ninth. Smith drew a one-out walk and senior Spencer Pietruszynski (Williamsburg, Va./Jamestown) was hit by a pitch with two away. Cole doubled to knock in Smith and Pietruszynski to make it 7-6. Cole would be stranded at second as the game ended.

How It Happened – Game 2:
- SU took control early with seven runs in the bottom of the first. The Yellow Jackets got on the board in the second. Pietruszynski reached on a fielder's choice and scored on a single by freshman Lincoln Lubsen (Williamsburg, Va./Walsingham Academy) to make it 7-1.
- The Hornets added a run in the third before R-MC scored in the fourth. Webb had a leadoff single and went to second on a walk to Pietruszynski. Following a sacrifice to advance both runners, freshman Aaron Lautenschlager (Purcellville, Va./Loudon Valley) singled to plate Webb and a base hit by Lubsen brought home Pietruszynski to make it 8-3.
- Cole would deliver a two-run single with two away in the sixth as R-MC pulled within three at 8-5.
- In the ninth, Cole walked and scored on a double by Iannuzzi to make the final 8-6.
