(ROANOKE, Va.) – Randolph-Macon looks to win its third consecutive game as it heads on the road to take on Roanoke for a Saturday afternoon affair. Both teams will be attempting to hand the other their second ODAC loss of the season.

The Yellow Jackets gave the Maroons all they could handle with six players scoring multiple goals. Roanoke, however, used a 6-2 third quarter to pull away and hold of a furious comeback attempt at the end. Jack Averna (Sr., Warrenton, Va. / Fauquier) and Ryan Pritchard (So., Crofton, Md. / DeMatha) each had three goals to lead the Jackets.

Averna scored six goals and an assist for seven points and Jack Smith (So., Stevensville, Md. / DeMatha) also added seven points on five goals and two assists to lead the Jackets over the Eagles. JD Spotts (So., Richmond, Va. / Collegiate) picked up nine ground balls and was 20-of-31 on faceoffs. Sam Averna (Sr., Warrenton, Va. / Fauquier) tallied 13 saves to record the win.

Just four days after the Jackets played the Eagles, it was Roanoke's turn. Wyatt Whitlow had eight points on six goals and two assists. Luca Docking also had eight on five goals and three assists.
