(LYNCHBURG, Va.) – There will be a lot on the line in the ODAC men's lacrosse game between Randolph-Macon and No. 11 Lynchburg on Saturday evening. Not only are both teams fighting for playoff positioning in the upcoming ODAC Tournament, but both teams are also listed in the initial regional rankings.

The Hornets jumped out to a 6-0 start to take control of the game. Bubba Bowen (So., Arnold, Md. / Broadneck) and Brandon Smith (Sr., Richmond, Va. / Douglas Freeman) each had two goals for the Yellow Jackets in the loss.

The Yellow Jackets had 12 different players score goals as they controlled the game almost from start to finish. A 10-0 run at the end of the first half and the start of the second helped them pull away to a 20-3 lead en route to the victory. Andrew Tiffey (Sr., Columbia, Md. / Wilde Lake) led the charge with five goals.

The Hornets blanked the WildCats thanks to a dominating offensive performance. Lynchburg controlled possession most of the game and only allowed four shots on defense.

- Jack Averna (Sr., Warrenton, Va. /Fauquier) tallied his 50th goal of the season against the Marlins to put him fifth in program history for most goals in a single season. The record is 56 set by Frank Smollon from 1996.

- Tiffey is second in the nation in shot percentage at .578. The leader is Eastern's Christopher Fanelli who has a mark of .586.
