Inside The Numbers

  • This will be the first time Randolph-Macon has hosted Shenandoah since April 23, 2016, a 15-4 victory for the Yellow Jackets. Since then the Lemon and Black have traveled to Winchester four of the last five seasons with 2020 being the exception as COVID halted the season midway through.
  • Averna has been one of the top scorers in not only the ODAC, but the nation as well. His 3.36 goals per game are currently third in the conference and No. 32 nationally in Division III.
  • Tiffey's shot percentage of .500 leads the ODAC and is No. 24 in the nation. Averna is right behind him at .468, No. 3 in the ODAC and within the top 50 in D-III. Jack Smith is 11th in the conference at .418.
  • Averna is second in the ODAC in points per game with 4.73.
  • Brandon Smith has done well to find the back of the net during EMO chances with five goals as a result of penalties on the opposition. That number ranks No. 3 in the ODAC.
  • He's been a big reason why R-MC is No. 28 nationally with .440 goals per game during man-up opportunities.
  • Both teams take care of the ball well and are among the nation's leaders in fewest turnovers per game. Shenandoah ranks No. 21 nationally and No. 2 in the ODAC with 16.33. Randolph-Macon is No. 25 and No. 3 in the same fields with an average of 16.45.
