Box Score ASHLAND, Va. – Junior Carter Johnson (Southampton, Va./Southampton) had two hits and three RBI, while freshman Bere Bauers (Devon, Pa./Devon Prep) hurled five scoreless innings to earn his first collegiate win, as the Randolph-Macon baseball team recorded a 7-2 victory at Mary Washington.

How It Happened:
- After a scoreless first, the Yellow Jackets put up a crooked number in the second. Senior Will Hass (Charlottesville, Va./St. Anne's Belfield) drew a one-out walk and came home on a triple by Johnson to make it 1-0. Freshman Lincoln Lubsen (Williamsburg, Va./Walsingham Academy) followed with a double that plated Johnson to give R-MC a 2-0 edge.
- Senior Spencer Pietruszynski (Williamsburg, Va./Jamestown) belted a two-out homer in the fifth, his second in the past three games, as the Yellow Jackets went up 3-0.
- R-MC added to its lead in the sixth. Junior Ethan Iannuzzi (Chesterfield, Va./Cosby) had a leadoff triple, while sophomore Myles Webb (Norfolk, Va./Granby) singled and Hass walked to load the bases. Johnson reached on a two-base error, as Iannuzzi and Webb scored to push the lead to 5-0. An RBI groundout by sophomore Trey Pridgen (York, Pa./York Suburban) brought in Hass to give the visitors a 6-0 advantage.
- After the Eagles scored single runs in the sixth and seventh, R-MC added an insurance run in the ninth. Sophomore Grayson Bush (Charlottesville, Va./Monticello) had a one-out single, stole second, moved to third on a single by sophomore Hunter Cole (Norfolk, Va./Granby) and scored on an error to make the final 7-2.

- Bauers (1-0) allowed three hits in the first five frames with one walk and one strikeout.
- Sophomore Cole Stamm (Irvington, Va./Middlesex) worked the sixth and fanned one.
- Senior Cole Snead (Haymarket, Va./Battlefield) allowed two hits and no walks over the final three innings with four strikeouts to record his first collegiate save.
