Box Score 2 (BLUEFIELD, Va.) – The Randolph-Macon men's volleyball team dropped a pair of contests on Saturday against Bluefield and Campbellsville. The Yellow Jackets fell in a neutral site contest against a talented Tigers squad 3-0 before battling the Rams in a hard-fought five set loss.

Inside The Numbers
- Kolby Gibson (Jr., Bumpass, Va. / Louisa) led the Yellow Jackets attack against the Tigers with nine kills on 25 attempts. Overall the R-MC attack was largely held in check as it hit .079 percent as a team.
- Jarrett Carrano (Jr., Beaverdam, Va. / Patrick Henry) was a bright spot on serves as he laid down four aces in the match. He also led the team on the receiving end with six digs in the opener.
- The hitting numbers increased in the second match as the Yellow Jackets attempted to come back from losing the first two sets. Behind Drew Klein (So., Glen Allen, Va. / Glen Allen) they nearly pulled it off as he chalked up 12 kills on 30 attempts. Sean Cunningham (Jr., Virginia Beach, Va. / Kempsville) and Gibson each added eight to balance the offense. John Saxman (So., Henrico, Va. / Mills Godwin) led the defense in second match with 18 digs, and Cade Terrell (So., Glen Allen, Va. / Deep Run) joined him in double figures with 10.
- Cunningham was impressive along the front line with seven total blocks in the contest. Two of them were solo rejections.
- Terrell added 36 assists in setting up the offense.
Up Next
The Lemon and Black will look to get back on track Monday evening when they head to Winston-Salem to take on Carolina University. It will be the first meeting between the two schools and the first of two contests against each other this season. The Bruins will complete the home-and-home agreement with a trip to Ashland at the end of March.
