Box Score 2 ASHLAND, Va. – Junior Ethan Iannuzzi (Chesterfield, Va./Cosby) hit for the cycle and knocked in seven in two games as the Randolph-Macon baseball team swept a season-opening doubleheader from Pitt-Bradford on Saturday afternoon.

How It Happened: Game 1
- The Yellow Jackets starting the scoring in the bottom of the first. Senior Spencer Pietruszynski (Williamsburg, Va./Jamestown) drew a leadoff walk, stole second and scored on consecutive wild pitches as R-MC went up 1-0.
- After the Panthers put up two in the top of the third, the home team responded in the bottom of the frame. Pietruszynski reached on a fielder's choice and came home on Iannuzzi's home run to left to put R-MC on top 3-2. Sophomore Hunter Cole (Norfolk, Va./Granby) went deep with two away to give the Yellow Jackets a 4-2 cushion.
- UPB would level the score at 4-4 in the top of the fourth before Pietruszynski walked with two away and came around on a double by Iannuzzi to make it 5-4.
- The Panthers would tie it at 5-5 with a run in the top of the sixth before the Yellow Jackets exploded for eight in the bottom of the sixth. Iannuzzi had a two-run single, senior Will Hass (Charlottesville, Va./St. Anne's Belfield) drove in two with a double and junior Brooks Mazey (Glen Allen, Va./Deep Run) added a two-run base hit.

How It Happened: Game 2
- R-MC scored in the second and never trailed in the nightcap. Cole drew a leadoff walk and came home on a bases-loaded walk to sophomore Grayson Bush (Charlottesville, Va./Monticello).
- Iannuzzi had a leadoff walk in the third and scored on a base hit by Cole to make it 2-0.
- After the Panthers plated an unearned run in the top of the fourth, junior Blake Doggett (Richmond, Va./Hanover) hit his first collegiate homer to lead off the bottom of the frame and give the Yellow Jackets a 3-1 edge.
- Cole singled and scored on a perfect hit-and-run double by Hass in the fifth to push the advantage to 4-1.
- Iannuzzi had a two-run triple and scored in a three-run sixth to make the final 7-1.
