Box Score 2 HUNTINGDON, Pa. – Sophomore Drew Klein (Glen Allen, Va./Glen Allen) had 35 kills as the 15th-ranked Randolph-Macon men's volleyball team split two matches on Saturday afternoon.

How It Happened
- Kills by Klein and junior Kolby Gibson (Bumpass, Va./Louisa) highlighted a 4-1 start for the Yellow Jackets. The Eagles used an 8-3 spurt to take a 9-7 edge. JC led 19-13 before consecutive kills by Klein capped a 10-3 run as R-MC took a 23-22 lead. The Eagles trailed 24-23 before scoring the final three points to claim the 26-24 win.
- Klein had a kill on the first point of Game 2. Junior Jarrett Carrano (Beaverdam, Va./Patrick Henry) had a kill and a service ace to give the Yellow Jackets a 6-4 edge. R-MC trailed 17-16 before two Klein kills highlighted a 4-0 spurt as the Yellow Jackets went up 20-17. JC closed to within one at 23-22 before kills by Gibson and Klein secured the 25-22 victory for R-MC.
- The Eagles jumped out to a 5-2 lead early in Game 3. Another Klein kill pulled the Yellow Jackets within one at 8-7. JC led 11-8 before two kills by Klein followed by kills from Carrano and junior Sean Cunningham (Virginia Beach, Va./Kempsville) put R-MC on top 12-11. The Eagles had six of the next seven points to go up 17-13. The Yellow Jackets fought back and tied it a 22-22 before JC scored three of the final four points to win 25-23.
- JC built a quick 4-1 lead and saw it grow to 14-7. The Eagles kept the lead and posted a 25-14 win to secure the match.

- Sophomore Cade Terrell (Glen Allen, Va./Deep Run) had 39 of R-MC's 45 assists.
- Sophomore John Saxman (Henrico, Va./Mills Godwin) had 11 digs, while Carrano had nine and Klein added eight.

How It Happened
- The teams stayed within a point of each other until R-MC took a 9-7 advantage. A kill by Klein put the Yellow Jackets ahead 15-10. R-MC was up 20-15 before MU fought back and pulled within one at 22-21. Kills by sophomore Gio DeLuca (Glen Allen, Va./Glen Allen) and Carrano preceded a service ace by junior James Manning (Glen Allen, Va./Glen Allen) to give R-MC the 25-21 win.
- The Yellow Jackets got the first two points of Game 2 before the Cougars scored three straight to take their first lead. MU built a five-point lead at 17-12 before a kill by Carter capped a 12-5 run as R-MC led 24-22. The Cougars tied it with two straight points before consecutive kills by Carrano gave the Yellow Jackets a 26-24 victory.
- R-MC built a quick 6-3 lead in Game 3. Carter and Cunningham combined on a block as the advantage ballooned to 12-6. The Yellow Jackets led 20-14 before MU rallied to pull within two at 24-22. A service error gave R-MC its final point of the match.
