(ASHLAND, Va.) – After almost a month of not playing, the Randolph-Macon women's basketball team will finally return to the court as it hosts Ferrum Saturday at 2 p.m. Both teams are looking to get back into the win column as they resume conference play.
The Yellow Jackets were scheduled to play three games in the past two weeks, but a trip to New York was cancelled and the game against Hollins Wednesday was postponed.

A quartet of Yellow Jackets scored in double figures and led from start to finish. Cheridan Hatfield (Fishersville, Va. / Wilson Memorial) opened the game with a 3-pointer en route to her team-high 16 points. Aimee DeBell (Studley, Va. / St. Gertrude) and Becca Anthony (Amelia, Va. / Amelia) both added 15 points while Devan Conrad tallied 10 to help give head coach Lindsey Burke the victory in her first game at the helm.

The Sea Gulls jumped out to an early lead and carried it through the rest of the game to snap the Jackets' three-game win streak. Anthony and Hatfield both led RMC with nine points.
Ferrum 55, Randolph 58 – Wednesday, Jan. 5
The Panthers were edged out by the WildCats in their first game back after the winter break. Ferrum's Kayla Cabiness hit a 3-pointer to tie the game at 55-all with 38 seconds remaining before Randolph's Teniyah Crenshaw hit three free throw down the stretch to provide the difference. Cabiness scored a game-high 22 points.
Inside The Numbers
- Juliana Park (Fr., Fairfax Station, Va. / Davidson Day) and Becca Anthony continue to be two of the top 3-point shooters in the conference. Park leads the league with a 44.2% clip from range while Anthony is fifth at 40.0%. Both are among the nation's best as well as Park's mark is No. 12 in Division III and Anthony's is tied for No. 33.
- Catherine Kagey (So., Roanoke, Va. / Faith Christian) is fifth in the ODAC in rebounds per game pulling down an average of 7.8 per contest.
- Aimee DeBell continues to be one of the top defensive posts in the ODAC with 12 blocks on the year. Her 1.33 blocks per game rank third in the conference.
- Cheridan Hatfield ranks in the top five in both assists per game and assist turnover ratio. Heading into Saturday she averages 4.0 helpers per game and has a 1.29 A/T ratio.
- As a team the Yellow Jackets have done well to take care of the ball and are No. 2 in the ODAC with only 151 on the season. Out of 423 teams in Division III they are No. 57 in that category.
