3/19/2026 1:11:00 PM

Randolph-Macon senior McKenzie Matheny (Fairfax Station, Va./West Springfield) has been selected as a 2026 Women's Basketball Coaches Association NCAA Division III Coaches' All-America honorable mention.

Matheny was vital to the Yellow Jackets' success this past season. The forward was named to her second consecutive All-ODAC First Team and was recently named to the D3Hoops.com All-Region Third Team for the second time in her career, while also being named to the WBCA 2026 Senior All-Star Team.

The senior racked up career-highs in points per game (14.0) and rebounds per game (10.0), good for eighth and third in the Old Dominion Athletic Conference, respectively. In starting all 29 games, Matheny also compiled team-highs in field goals made (165) and free throws made (74) across a career-high 830 minutes played. Her 48.5 shooting percentage slotted her at sixth in the conference and her 65.5 shooting percentage from the free throw line marked a career-high.

Matheny helped lead her team to its first NCAA Tournament appearance after not winning the ODAC regular season title or conference championship. She finished her career at Randolph-Macon with 22 double-doubles, which ranks sixth in Yellow Jackets Women's Basketball history.

The WBCA NCAA Division III Coach of the Year, Player of the Year and Coaches' All-America teams are selected by the WBCA NCAA Division III Awards Committee from coaches and student-athletes who are nominated by WBCA member coaches.
