- The Yellow Jacket offense was held in check for five innings. Senior Maddie Stone (Glen Allen, Va./Glen Allen) had a leadoff walk in the sixth, moved to second on a wild pitch and scored on a single by sophomore Rilee Baughan (Warsaw, Va./Rappahannock) to break the scoreless deadlock. Celiberti reached on an error with one away, moving freshman pinch-runner Olivia Allen (Dinwiddie, Va./Dinwiddie) to third. A groundout by senior Shelby Hill (Mechanicsville, Va./St. Margaret's) plated Allen with the second run. Sophomore Jessica Pittman (Virginia Beach, Va./Kempsville) and senior Sami Davidson (Stafford, Va./Brooke Point) added RBI singles to give R-MC a 4-0 advantage.

How It Happened: Game 2
- The Yellow Jackets started the scoring early in the nightcap. Stone had a leadoff walk, moved to second on an errant throw, went to third on a base hit by senior Erin Doyle (Moseley, Va./Cosby) and came home on a fielder's choice from Celiberti to make it 1-0. A double by Hill drove in Celiberti to make it 2-0.
- R-MC put up another crooked number in the second. Pittman had a leadoff single and went to second on a base hit by Davidson. Steinruck sacrificed to move the runners up. A single by freshman Olivia Owens (Salisbury, Md./James M. Bennett) brought home Pittman to raise the score to 3-0. Stone knocked in Davidson with a sacrifice fly and Baughan doubled home Owens to give the Yellow Jackets a 5-0 lead.
- The Eagles tallied single runs in the third and sixth, sandwiched around a steal of home by Doyle to make the final 6-2.

- Celiberti allowed six hits and one earned run in seven innings with one walk and four strikeouts.
- Hill was the lone Yellow Jacket with multiple hits, going 2 for 2 with a walk.
