GREENSBORO, N.C. – Senior Shelby Hill (Mechanicsville, Va./St. Margaret's) had two doubles and four hits as the 20th-ranked Randolph-Macon softball team lost an ODAC doubleheader at Guilford on Tuesday afternoon.

How It Happened: Game 1

• Sophomore Rilee Baughan (Warsaw, Va./Rappahannock) would homer in the top of the first to give the Yellow Jackets the early lead. It was her first dinger of the season.
• The Quakers would get the equalizer in the second and take their first lead in the fifth.
• In the top of the sixth, senior Kamryn Steinruck (Glen Allen, Va./Glen Allen) had a leadoff double, was sacrificed to third by freshman Olivia Owens (Salisbury, Md./James M. Bennett) and bunted home on a sacrifice by senior Maddie Stone (Glen Allen, Va./Glen Allen) to even the score at 2-2.
• GC would plate four in the bottom of the sixth and took a 6-2 victory.

By The Numbers

• Hill went 1 for 3 with a double.
• Senior Madie Rhoads (Portsmouth, Va./Nansemond River) fanned six in 5.1 innings.

How It Happened: Game 2

• The Quakers erupted for four in the first and one in the third for a 5-0 lead.
• The Yellow Jackets left two on in the second but got on the scoreboard in the fourth. Baughan walked and moved to third on a double by Hill. A single by Owens brought in Baughan and Hill scored on an error to make it 5-2.
• After GC added a run in the fifth, R-MC answered in the sixth. Hill had an infield single and went to third on a double by Owens. Hill scored on a passed ball and Owens came home on an error to make it 6-4.
• The Yellow Jackets had two on with one away in the seventh but could not score to extend the game.

• Hill went 3 for 4 with a double and two runs.
• Owens went 2 for 4 with one run and one RBI.
• Senior Erin Doyle (Moseley, Va./Cosby) went 2 for 4.
• Senior Ali Celiberti (Powhatan, Va./Powhatan) struck out six in six innings.
