Box Score ARLINGTON, Va. – Sophomore Kolby Gibson (Bumpass, Va./Louisa) had 15 kills, 41 total attacks and eight digs as the Randolph-Macon men's volleyball team fell in five sets at Marymount on Tuesday evening.

How It Happened
- The Saints scored the first three points of Game 1 and built a 7-2 lead. The Yellow Jackets fought back and an ace by sophomore Jarrett Carrano (Beaverdam, Va./Patrick Henry) pulled R-MC within one at 11-10. A kill by Gibson eventually tied it at 14-14. It was even at 17-17 before kills by Gibson and senior Corban Jungers (Ashland, Va./J.R. Tucker) highlighted a 4-0 spurt as the Yellow Jackets went up 21-17. MU pulled within two at 22-20 before the Yellow Jackets recorded the final three points for a 25-20 win.
- The teams stayed with two points of each other early in the second game before four straight points by the Saints led to an 11-7 advantage. R-MC answered with three points in a row to trail by one at 11-10. MU tallied seven of the next eight points to lead 18-11. The home team would win the second set 25-18.
- Game 3 started tight as well before the Saints scored five straight to go up 13-8. The Yellow Jackets responded with six of the next seven points to level the score at 14-14. With the score tied at 16-16, Kills by Carrano and sophomore Daniel Nguyen (Glen Allen, Va./Glen Allen) capped a four-point run as R-MC went up 20-16. The Yellow Jackets maintained their lead and registered a 25-19 win to take a 2-1 advantage in the match.
- R-MC jumped out to a quick 4-2 lead in Game 4 before MU scored seven of the next eight points to go up 9-5. The Yellow Jackets would respond and eventually tie it at 14-14. With the score even at 16-16, the Saints used a 9-2 run to win 25-18.
- MU built an early 8-1 lead in Game 5 on its way to a 15-6 win and a match victory.

- Freshman Cade Terrell (Glen Allen, Va./Deep Run) had 34 of R-MC's 36 assists.
- Nguyen and junior Connor Logan (Montpelier, Va./Patrick Henry) paced the Yellow Jackets with nine digs. Gibson added eight and Carrano recorded seven.
- Senior Dayne Iverson (Pasco, Wash./Chiawana) had five block assists, while Carrano had four.
