(ASHLAND, Va.) – A full season of basketball will finally tip off tomorrow when Randolph-Macon hosts Lycoming on Sunday afternoon. The Yellow Jackets are looking to build upon the success they had during a shortened spring season that saw them go 4-0 with a lineup that returns almost fully intact.

The Yellow Jackets capped a perfect weekend at the Cruzin Classic with their seven point victory over the Warriors. It was the seventh-straight win during an eight-game win streak for RMC. Kelly Williams led the Lemon and Black with 21 points and 17 rebounds. Becca Anthony (Sr., Amelia, Va. / Amelia) came off the bench to drop 14 with three 3-pointers.

RMC won its COVID-shortened season with a 15-point triumph over the WildCats to finish the year undefeated at 4-0 overall and 3-0 in the ODAC. Aimee DeBell (Sr., Studley, Va. / Saint Gertrude) had a double-double with 18 points and 10 rebounds, and Anthony added one of her own with 14 and 11, respectively.

- The Yellow Jackets have won 10 consecutive games in the regular season. That streak started back on February 4, 2020, when they won at St. Mary's 70-54.
- Including the postseason Randolph-Macon is 14-1 since that game with its only defeat coming in the second round of the NCAA tournament against No. 8 Oglethorpe.
Home Openers
- The Yellow Jackets have historically played well in home openers. Since 2003, they have only lost twice in their first home game. RMC has won seven of the last eight during that stretch with the last loss coming two years ago against William Peace.
