Box Score ST. MARY's CITY, Md. – Senior Kelly Williams (Garysburg, N.C. / Halifax Academy) and junior Becca Arrington (Amelia, Va. / Amelia Academy) sparked Randolph-Macon Women's Basketball, scoring 17 points each, as the Yellow Jackets prevailed over the St. Mary's Seahawks Tuesday evening in a non-conference matchup in St. Mary's City.

How It Happened
- Arrington got the ball rolling with the game's opening jumper, a three-pointer, just seconds into the contest. St. Mary's was able to grab the lead twice around the midway mark of the first period and again late in the frame. However, the Yellow Jackets got on a 10-0 run in the last 90 seconds to take a nine-point advantage into the second quarter.
- The Yellow Jackets' defense held St. Mary's to just six points over the first five minutes of the frame, while extending their own advantage to ten. The Seahawks were again shut down in the later stages of the quarter, while the Yellow Jackets pushed ahead to a 13-point lead at halftime, buoyed by a last-second three-pointer by sophomore Janelle De Guzman (Raleigh, N.C. / St. Thomas More Academy).
- Randolph-Macon got a 9-3 run over the first three minutes of the third quarter, helping keep the game in R-MC's favor. St. Mary's scored just nine more points in the rest of the frame, while R-MC collected 12 more, taking a 24-point advantage into the final quarter. Senior Michal Ross (Glen Allen, Va. / Glen Allen) had a 5-0 run herself in a 30-second period with under two minutes to play.
- St. Mary's was able to outscore the Yellow Jackets in the fourth quarter, but the damage was already done as R-MC walked away with the 16-point victory. Arrington hit a big three-pointer in the first moments of the quarter, her fifth of the game. Freshman Haley Pasqualone (Purcellville, Va. / Loudoun Valley) got the final shot of the frame to settle the score at 70-54.
Inside The Numbers
- R-MC held the rebounding advantage 55-33, with Williams leading the team with 13 and senior Charlotte Woods (Richmond, Va. / Trinity) adding 11. Arrington finished with six rebounds.
- Outside of Williams and Arrington scoring 17 points apiece, Ross finished with nine. Sophomore Aimee DeBell (Studley, Va. / Saint Gertrude) gathered eight points as well.
- Sophomore Cheridan Hatfield (Fishersville, Va. / Wilson Memorial) led the team in assists and steals with four and three respectively. Woods also had three steals. Ross dished out three assists.
- Williams and freshman Devan Conrad (Parkville, Md. / St. Paul's School for Girls) each had two blocks.
- With her first points of the contest, Williams overtook the #3 spot on the program's all-time career points list. She had previously been tied with Katie Anderson, who played from 2012-2016. Anderson finished her career with 1,727 points. Williams now has 1,744.
