Box Score SALEM, Va. – Senior Kelly Williams (Garysburg, N.C./Halifax Academy), the ODAC Player of the Year, recorded her 18th double-double of the season with 10 rebounds and 17 points, one of four Yellow Jackets to score in double figures, as the fourth-seeded Randolph-Macon women's basketball team topped No. 5 Shenandoah 75-48 on Thursday afternoon in the quarterfinals of the 2020 ODAC Championship.

How it Happened:
- The Hornets scored the first five points of the contest before a pair of layups by senior Michal Ross (Glen Allen, Va./Glen Allen), All-ODAC Second Team, made it a one-point game with 7:30 remaining in the first quarter. A follow by Williams gave the Yellow Jackets their first lead at 6-5 with 5:40 left, alead they would not relinquish. A three-pointer by Williams capped the 9-0 spurt as R-MC went up 9-5 midway through the period. After a bucket by SU, Michal hit a free throw and senior Charlotte Woods (Richmond, Va./Trinity), All-ODAC Third Team, converted a three-point play to give the Yellow Jackets a 13-7 advantage with 3:17 remaining. The Hornets would have the final basket of the quarter to make it 13-9 after one. Ross and Williams both had five points, while Williams had three rebounds and two assists.
- Sophomore Aimee DeBell (Studley, Va./Saint Gertrude) hit a pair of jumpers as R-MC maintained its lead at 17-13 midway through the second quarter. DeBell had a follow and a jumper, and junior Becca Arrington (Amelia, Va./Amelia Academy) hit a pair of free throws as the Yellow Jackets took a double-digit lead at 23-13 with 2:13 left. After a bucket by the Hornets, Ross and Arrington made layups in the final 40 seconds to give R-MC a 27-15 lead at halftime. DeBell had eight points, all in the second period, while Ross had seven first-half points. The Yellow Jackets had an 18-15 edge on the boards. DeBell paced R-MC with five rebounds. The R-MC defense forced 15 first-half turnovers.
- Layups by R-MC's All-ODAC selections of Williams, Woods and Ross, gave the Yellow Jackets a 33-15 lead two minutes into the third quarter. After a jumper by SU, Arrington buried a trey and Ross scored in the paint as R-MC went up 38-17 with six minutes remaining. A long jumper by freshman Devan Conrad (Parkville, Md./St. Paul's) and a free throw by sophomore Peyton Humphreys (Lexington, Ky./Dunbar) gave the Yellow Jackets a 22-point lead at 48-26 with 1:46 left. R-MC would score its final five points of the period from the free throw line and hold a 52-31 advantage after three quarters.
- The Hornets started the final period with an 8-2 run before two foul shots by Williams halted the spurt and made it 56-39 with 6:45 left. A layup and two free throws by Arrington pushed the lead to 26 at 68-42 with 3:07 remaining. Junior Elise Knobloch (Glenville, Pa./Delone Catholic) went 4 for 4 from the free throw line down the stretch and Humphreys hit a foul shot with five seconds left to give the Yellow Jackets their largest lead at 75-48, the final score.

- R-MC had four score in double figures. Williams finished with 17, while Ross added 16, Arrington put up 11 and DeBell contributed 10. The Yellow Jackets had a 34-20 edge on points in the paint.
- The Yellow Jackets shot 45% from the floor (24-53) and hit 2 of 4 three-point attempts.
- R-MC hit 25 of 30 free throw attempts for 83.3%. It was the first time the Yellow Jackets shot more than 80% from the charity stripe in a game this season. R-MC set a season high for made free throws and was one away from the top mark of the season for attempts.
