ASHLAND, Va. – The Virginia Sports Information Directors (VaSID) have released their 2025-26 College Division All-State Women's Basketball Teams.
McKenzie Matheny (Fairfax Station, Va./West Springfield) of Randolph-Macon Women's Basketball has been named to the All-State First Team.
The senior racked up career-highs in points per game (14.0) and rebounds per game (10.0), good for eighth and third in the Old Dominion Athletic Conference, respectively. In starting all 29 games, Matheny also compiled team-highs in field goals made (165) and free throws made (74) across a career-high 830 minutes played. Her 48.5 shooting percentage slotted her at sixth in the conference and her 65.5 shooting percentage from the free throw line marked a career-high.
Matheny helped lead her team to its first NCAA Tournament appearance after not winning the ODAC regular season title or conference championship. She finished her career at Randolph-Macon with 22 double-doubles, which ranks sixth in Yellow Jackets Women's Basketball history.
