Box Score Emory, Va. – Senior Kelly Williams (Garysburg, N.C. / Halifax Academy) recorded a double-double as the R-MC Yellow Jackets fell to Emory & Henry 72-67. Her 17 points leveled her with Katie Anderson as the third-leading scorer of all time at Randolph-Macon. Junior Becca Arrington (Amelia, Va. / Amelia Academy) and senior Michal Ross (Glen Allen, Va. / Glen Allen) both scored in double figures as well, finishing with 14 and 12 respectively. Williams also pulled down 14 rebounds in the game.

How it Happened:
- The Yellow Jackets fell behind early before seniors Charlotte Woods (Richmond, Va. / Trinity) and Ross grabbed two quick buckets to pull them within one. Then, Arrington went on her own scoring spree recording 11 straight points for the Jackets including two 3-pointers. Williams grabbed the last bucket of the quarter for the Jackets before both she and Woods grabbed big blocks on the last possession of the quarter to get a stop going into the second quarter.
- R-MC got four quick points through Ross and Williams to gain the lead early in the second quarter. Sophomore Aimee DeBell (Studley, Va. / Saint Gertrude) tied things up with a jump shot before Arrington hit her third shot from behind the arc of the game to put the Jackets back in the lead.
- With five minutes to go in the half junior Elise Knobloch (Glenville, Pa. / Delone Catholic) hit a shot from deep to put R-MC up 30-28. Layups from Williams and Woods along with a jumper from freshman Devan Conrad (Parkville, Md. / St Paul's School for Girls) would push the Jackets to 36 points before the half, trailing by two.
- Williams hit a layup coming out of the half before Woods finished off an and-1 opportunity to pull R-MC within one. Ross scored the next five points before freshman Haley Pasqualone (Purcellville, Va. / Loudoun Valley) hit two free throws off the bench.
- Randolph-Macon continued to battle, and Williams hit a layup at the buzzer in the third quarter to leave the Jackets down just one going into the final 10 minutes.
- The fourth quarter started slow for both teams but DeBell grabbed the first bucket two minutes in the give R-MC the lead. Emory & Henry went on a short run of their own which was ended when Ross hit a jumper and drew the foul for an old-fashioned three pointer. Williams hit two layups to pull the Jackets within four and Woods hit a free throw to make it a three-point game with two minutes to go.
- Pasqualone would hit a three with 30 seconds to go to pull R-MC within two but free throws for E&H ended the game with a close loss.
By the Numbers:
- Williams moves into a tie for third on the all-time scoring charts at Randolph-Macon with her 17 points tonight. This marks her 15th straight game in double-figures and also her twelfth double-double of the season.
- Ross scored in double-digits for the 13th time this season while Arrington has recorded eight double-digit performances.
- Woods pulled down nine rebounds while Williams and Arrington dished out four and three assists respectively.
