Box Score ASHLAND, Va.—Senior Ryan Davidson (Logan Township, NJ / Kingsway Regional) scored three goals as the Randolph-Macon men's lacrosse team fell 16-6 to Washington & Lee in ODAC action Saturday afternoon.
The Yellow Jackets (4-13, 3-6 ODAC) held an early 2-0 lead in the first period. Davidson scored first followed by a goal from sophomore Coleman Adams (Mechanicsville, Va. / St. Christopher's) with 9:39 remaining. The Generals (13-3, 8-1 ODAC) responded with six straight goals before sophomore Kyle Keepers (Roswell, Ga. / Roswell) scored on a pass from junior Sam Mayer (Severna Park, Md. / Severna Park) with 6:45 left until halftime. The Generals held a 6-3 lead at the break.
W&L held R-MC scoreless in the third period while tallying six for themselves to hold a 12-3 advantage.
The Yellow Jackets added three goals in the final stanza. Freshman Lee Pratt (Winston-Salem, NC / Ronald Reagan) found Mayer for his second goal of the year. Davidson scored with 3:35 remaining and added his 38th goal of the season with 2:15 to play as W&L grabbed the 16-6 victory.
Senior Nick Benhoff (Phoenix, Md. / Dulaney) went 15-24 on face-offs and caused two turnovers on the day.
Junior Brian Davies (Lynchburg, Va. / E.C. Glass) recorded 12 saves for R-MC.
Randolph-Macon concludes the 2016 campaign at 4-13 overall and 3-6 in conference play.
