Box Score BRIDGEWATER, Va.—Senior Ryan Davidson (Logan Township, NJ / Kingsway Regional) scored the game-winning goal in overtime on a pass from sophomore Coleman Adams (Mechanicsville, Va. / St. Christopher's) as the Randolph-Macon men's lacrosse team edged Bridgewater 10-9 Saturday afternoon.
Adams found Davidson with 2:13 remaining in overtime to give the Yellow Jackets (3-8, 2-2 ODAC) the conference victory. Davidson led the Yellow Jackets with five goals. Adams and sophomore Alex Camilliere (Huntingtown, Md. / Huntingtown) each added a pair of goals while junior Tim Leavitt (Davidsonville, Md. / Archbishop Spalding) notched his second goal of the season.
R-MC held a 4-2 advantage over the Eagles (6-4, 1-2 ODAC) after the first period.
Camilliere and Leavitt added goals early in the second period to extend R-MC's lead to four at 6-2. The Eagles scored three straight to pull within one at 6-5. Davidson notched a goal with under a minute remaining in the second period to give Randolph-Macon a 7-5 lead at halftime.
Davidson scored twice in the third period to extend R-MC's advantage back to four at 9-5 before the Eagles scored four unanswered goals to tie the game at 9-9 with 5:32 remaining in the fourth period. The game remained scoreless through the end of regulation.
Junior Brian Davies (Lynchburg, Va. / E.C. Glass) recorded 12 saves for the Yellow Jackets.
R-MC held a 14-8 advantage on faceoffs.
This is the second overtime victory for R-MC this season. The Yellow Jackets claimed a 10-9 victory over Coast Guard on March 9. The same duo, Davidson and Adams, recorded the game-winning goal and assist, respectively, in that contest.
Randolph-Macon returns to action at Ferrum on Wednesday, April 13 at 4 p.m. for its last non-conference game of the season.
