Box Score FERRUM, Va.—Senior Ryan Davidson (Logan Township, NJ / Kingsway Regional) scored two goals to notch 25 scores on the season as the Randolph-Macon men's lacrosse team fell 12-6 to Ferrum Wednesday afternoon.
Sophomores Coleman Adams (Mechanicsville, Va. / St. Christopher's) and Kyle Keepers (Roswell, Ga. / Roswell) along with freshman Lee Pratt (Winston-Salem, NC / Ronald Reagan) each recorded a goal and an assist in the contest. Senior Nick Benhoff (Phoenix, Md. / Dulaney) scored R-MC's remaining goal.
Keepers gave the Yellow Jackets (3-9) an early 1-0 lead in the first period before the Panthers (8-9) added three-straight to hold a 3-1 advantage with 12:36 remaining in the second period. R-MC added two scores with help from Pratt and Adams to equalize the match at 3-3. Ferrum held a 4-3 lead at halftime.
Davidson grabbed his first goal at 12:13 in the third stanza to put the Yellow Jackets within one score at 5-4. He grabbed his second goal late in the fourth period as the Panthers went on to claim the 12-6 win.
Senior Tommy Smith (Richmond, Va. / Benedictine) recorded seven saves for R-MC.
Randolph-Macon returns to action on the road on Saturday, April 16 at 1 p.m. against Guilford.
