Box Score SALEM, Va.—Sophomore Kyle Keepers (Roswell, Ga. / Roswell) registered three goals as the Randolph-Macon men's lacrosse team fell to Roanoke 18-5 in conference action Saturday afternoon.
The Maroons (6-1, 1-0 ODAC) held a 7-0 lead after the first period before senior Ryan Davidson (Logan Township, NJ / Kingsway Regional) scored in the second period to put the Yellow Jackets (1-6, 0-1 ODAC) on the scoreboard. Keepers and freshman Lee Pratt (Winston-Salem, N.C. / Ronald Reagan) also scored as R-MC faced a 10-3 deficit at halftime.
Roanoke added four goals in the third period before Keepers notched his second goal of the contest on a man-up situation with help from sophomore Coleman Adams (Mechanicsville, Va. / Archbishop Spalding).
Keepers tallied his third goal in the fourth period off a pass from freshman Cristian Abrigo (Leesburg, Va. / Flint Hill) with just under eight minutes remaining.
Randolph-Macon returns to action on Saturday, March 19 for its ODAC home opener against Randolph at 4 p.m. on Day Field.
