NEWPORT NEWS, Va.—Sophomore Miles Muncie (Midlothian, Va. / Midlothian) scored twice and added one assist as the Randolph-Macon men's lacrosse team fell 10-5 to Christopher Newport on Wednesday afternoon.

Sophomore Coleman Adams (Mechanicsville, Va. / St. Christopher's) added two assists.

The Yellow Jackets (0-3) faced an early deficit as the Captains (2-1) scored twice. Muncie notched his first goal with 2:14 remaining in the first quarter to make it 2-1. The Captains added three straight goals before Adams found Muncie with 6:44 to play in the second quarter. R-MC faced a 6-2 deficit at halftime.

Seniors Nick Benhoff (Phoenix, Md. / Dulaney), Ryan Davidson (Logan Township, NJ / Kingsway Regional) and sophomore Schylur King (Owings, Md. / Northern) each scored in the second half as CNU claimed the 10-5 win.

Junior Brian Davies (Lynchburg, Va. / E.C. Glass) recorded 10 saves for the Yellow Jackets.

The game was delayed for 90 minutes due to inclement weather.

Randolph-Macon stays on the road for two games this weekend. The Yellow Jackets will play at Goucher on Saturday, Feb. 27 and Haverford on Sunday, Feb. 28. Both contests are scheduled for 1 p.m.
