Box Score ASHLAND, Va.—Freshman Lee Pratt (Winston-Salem, NC / Ronald Reagan) scored two goals in his first collegiate game as the Randolph-Macon men's lacrosse team dropped a 14-6 decision to Mary Washington Wednesday afternoon.
The Eagles (1-1) held a 3-0 lead after the first quarter. The Yellow Jackets (0-1) added two goals in the second quarter. Sophomore Miles Muncie (Midlothian, Va. / Midlothian) scored on a man-up opportunity off a pass from sophomore Coleman Adams (Mechanicsville, Va. / St. Christopher's),pictured, followed by a goal from sophomore Kyle Keepers (Roswell, Ga. / Roswell) to face a 3-2 deficit. The Eagles added another goal with 7:12 remaining and held the 4-2 lead through halftime.
R-MC scored the first two goals of the third quarter to knot the score at 4-all. Senior Ryan Davidson (Logan Township, NJ / Kingsway Regional) scored with 11:25 to play before Pratt tallied his first collegiate goal at the 9:03 mark. The Eagles added two goals to hold a 6-4 lead. Adams scored a last-second goal to pull R-MC within one-point at 6-5.
The Eagles added a goal with 14:36 remaining in the fourth quarter to make it 7-5. Less than a minute later, sophomore Schylur King (Owings, Md. / Northern) found Pratt to notch his second goal to again put R-MC within one-point at 7-6. The Eagles scored seven straight points to claim the 14-6 win.
Junior Brian Davies (Lynchburg, Va. / E.C. Glass) recorded 14 saves, including seven saves in the third period.
Randolph-Macon will play four games on the road before returning to Day Field. The Yellow Jackets return to action at 1 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 20 at Catholic.
