Box Score ASHLAND, Va. - Freshmen Alex Camilliere (Huntington, Md./Huntington), Coleman Adams (Mechanicsville, Va./St. Christopher's) and Miles Muncie (Midlothian, Va./Midlothian) each scored at least three goals as the Randolph-Macon men's lacrosse team blasted Bridgewater 19-6 Wednesday afternoon in ODAC action at Day Field.
Camilliere netted four goals, while Adams and Muncie both had three goals and two assists for the Yellow Jackets (5-8, 2-3 ODAC).
Each team scored a goal in the first six minutes before R-MC tallied eight straight goals to lead 7-1 after one period and 9-1 early in the second. Camilliere, Adams and freshman Kyle Keepers (Roswell, Ga./Roswell) each had two goals in the early spurt. The Eagles (4-9, 0-5 ODAC) tallied a pair of goals before sophomore Ryan Davidson (Logan Township, N.J./Kingsway) scored with two seconds remaining to give the Yellow Jackets a 10-3 advantage at halftime.
Following another trade of goals early in the third period, R-MC netted six straight goals to lead 15-4 after three and 17-4 early in the fourth. Sophomore Mitch Behl (Glen Allen, Va./Deep Run) scored the final two goals for the Yellow Jackets in the 19-6 victory.
R-MC held a 45-34 advantage in shots, including 30-11 in the first half. The Yellow Jackets also won the battle of ground balls (44-37) and faceoffs (18-11). Junior Nick Benhoff (Phoenix, Md./Dulaney) led R-MC with 12 ground balls and won 15 of 23 faceoffs.
Junior Brian Davies (Lynchburg, Va./E.C. Glass) recorded 10 saves in 45 minutes, while junior Thomas Smith (Richmond, Va./Benedictine) added four saves in 15 minutes.
Randolph-Macon returns to action on Saturday, April 11 for a 12 noon ODAC contest at Hampden-Sydney.
