Box Score HAMPDEN-SYDNEY, Va. – Junior Brian Davies (Lynchburg, Va./E.C. Glass) registered 15 saves in 59 minutes as the Randolph-Macon men's lacrosse team dropped an 11-5 decision at Hampden-Sydney in ODAC action Saturday afternoon.
Davies had seven saves in the first period, one in the second, three in the third and four in the fourth for the Yellow Jackets (5-9, 2-4).
The Tigers (8-4, 5-1) scored eight of the first nine goals. H-SC led 2-0 at the end of the first quarter and 5-1 at halftime. The advantage grew to 8-1 in the third before R-MC scored four of five to cut the deficit to four at 9-5. The Tigers tallied the final two goals to register the 11-5 win.
R-MC had five different players score: senior Nolan Clark (Annapolis, Md./St. Mary's), junior Nick Benhoff (Phoenix, Md./Dulaney) and freshmen Miles Muncie (Midlothian, Va./Midlothian), Kyle Keepers (Roswell, Ga./Roswell) and Andrew Venezia (Rockville, Md./Good Council). Senior Dan Gallucci (Langley, Va./Langley), sophomore Ryan Davidson (Logan Township, N.J./Kingsway Regional) and sophomore Sam Mayer (Severna Park, Md./Severna) each had an assist.
Randolph-Macon returns to action on Wednesday, April 15 for a 7 p.m. ODAC contest at Shenandoah.
