Box Score 2 CARY, N.C. – Sophomore Stuart Brown (Midlothian, Va./Trinity) went 3 for 4 in the nightcap with two doubles and four runs as the Randolph-Macon baseball team split an ODAC doubleheader with Bridgewater on Sunday afternoon at the USA Baseball Complex.
The Eagles (4-1, 1-1 ODAC) won the opener 3-2 in 12 innings, while the Yellow Jackets (8-1, 3-1) took Game 2 by a score of 8-6.
BC scored three in the second before Brown doubled and scored to make it a 3-1 contest. Brown had an RBI single and scored in a four-run sixth as the Yellow Jackets took a 5-3 advantage.
After the Eagles tallied one in the sixth and two in the seventh to assume a 6-5 lead. Brown had a leadoff double in the eighth and scored the tying run.
Brown drew a walk and scored in a two-run ninth as R-MC pulled out an 8-6 lead.
Senior JT Williamson (Springfield, Va./West Springfield) tossed 2.2 hitless innings in relief with one walk and five strikeouts to earn his first victory.
In Game 1, junior Michael Kroll (Virginia Beach, Va./Cape Henry) had two hits and a run as R-MC stranded 18 in the contest.
R-MC returns to action on Thursday, March 12, with a home contest against New Paltz.
