ASHLAND, Va. – Sophomore midfielder Sam Mayer (Severna Park, Md./Severna) recorded five assists and added two goals to lead the Randolph-Macon men's lacrosse team past Ferrum 16-7 Wednesday afternoon at Day Field.

The Yellow Jackets (3-5) led 3-1 after one quarter and 6-3 at halftime. The advantage grew to 11-6 after three periods before a 5-1 fourth quarter made the final 16-7.

Junior Ryan Davidson (Logan Township, N.J./Kingsway Regional) along with freshmen Coleman Adams (Mechanicsville, Va./St. Christopher's) and Miles Muncie (Midlothian, Va./Midlothian) each tallied three goals for the Yellow Jackets.

Junior Brian Davies (Lynchburg, Va./E.C. Glass) had 14 saves for R-MC.

Randolph-Macon begins ODAC play at home on Saturday, March 14 at 1:30 p.m. against Roanoke.
