SALEM, Va. - Junior Hannah Livermon (Powhatan, Va./Powhatan) matched her career high with 24 points as the second-seeded Randolph-Macon women's basketball team was upset by No. 7 Emory & Henry 93-81 Friday evening in the quarterfinals of the ODAC Tournament.

The Wasps (15-12) hit 33 of 64 from the floor (.516), the first team to hit over 50% from the floor and score more than 90 points against the defending champion Yellow Jackets (20-5) this season.

The teams stayed within four points of each other through the first eight minutes. R-MC held a 9-8 lead five minutes in before the Wasps used an 18-0 run to take a 26-9 lead with 9:04 remaining. The Yellow Jackets used a 20-6 spurt to narrow the gap to three at 32-29 before E&H took a 45-37 lead at the half. Junior Khajae Hester (Virginia Beach, Va./Cape Henry Collegiate) led R-MC with 13 first-half points, hitting four field goals and going 5 for 6 from the free throw line. Senior Sarah Parsons (Glen Allen, Va./J.R. Tucker) added nine and Livermon tallied eight.

R-MC started the second half on a 14-6 run to knot the score at 51 with 14 minutes remaining. It was 53-53 when E&H scored 10 straight to lead 63-53 with 11 minutes remaining. Junior Katie Anderson (Beaverdam, Va./Patrick Henry) converted a three-point play with seven minutes to go to make it 67-62, but that was as close as the Yellow Jackets would get. The Wasps used a 10-1 run to stretch the lead to 14 at 77-63 with 4:45 left. E&H maintained a double-figure lead the rest of the way before posting the 93-81 victory.

Parsons finished with 17 points, while Hester had 15 with five assists. Freshman Amber Lee (Rockville, Va./Patrick Henry) had 11 points and nine rebounds, while Anderson added nine points and 11 boards.

Randolph-Macon must now wait until Monday's selection show at 2:30 p.m. ET to see if it receives an at-large bid to the NCAA Tournament.
