Box Score ASHLAND, Va. – Senior Meghan O'Neal (Richmond, Va./Mills Godwin) scored twice in the first four minutes as the Randolph-Macon women's soccer team posted a 12-0 ODAC victory over Hollins on Sunday afternoon.
O'Neal scored 3:19 into the match and added a second goal 19 seconds later on an assist by senior Bridget Panas (Goochland, Va./Goochland) as the Yellow Jackets (7-8, 4-6 ODAC) jumped ahead 2-0 over Hollins (0-15, 0-9 ODAC). Panas finished with one goal and three assists.
Along with an own goal, other first-half scorers for R-MC included Panas, senior Lindsey Hall (Glen Allen, Va./Deep Run), freshman Jena Turner (Fredericksburg, Va./Spotsylvania), junior Lauren Orga (Hayes, Va./Gloucester), freshman Claudia Alvarez (Coral Springs, Fla./Coral Springs), freshman Cori Spartana (Baltimore, Md./St. Timothy's), freshman Olivia Maust (Midlothian, Va./Midlothian) and freshman Sofia Rodriguez (Arlington, Va./Washington-Lee). For the freshmen, each was their first collegiate goal as the Yellow Jackets built an 11-0 lead.
Senior Moriah Carper (Radford, Va./Radford) netted the lone score of the second half, recording her first goal of the season.
Junior Lindsay Zachman (Hampstead, Md./North Carroll) recorded four saves for the Yellow Jackets.
Randolph-Macon concludes its regular season on Wednesday, Oct. 28, with a home ODAC contest against Randolph at 4 p.m.
