Box Score ASHLAND, Va. – Senior midfielder Jason Andrews
(Hereford, MD / Hereford) tallied seven goals to help lead the
Randolph-Macon Men's Lacrosse team to a 13-8 victory over
Susquehanna this afternoon on Day Field.
The Yellow Jackets (3-3) led all offensive categories in the
first period only to slip 2-1 by the end of the stanza. Andrews
recorded the first goal for the Jackets following an SU goal seven
minutes into regulation.
The Crusaders traded goals with R-MC on a 3-to-4 spurt before
the Jackets could outshoot SU 15-11 while picking up six goals to
capture the 7-4 edge at intermission. Andrews and Joseph Edwards
led R-MC in the second stanza each recording two goals while Kyle
Snodderly (Reistertown, MD / Franklin) and Nolan Clark
(Annapolis, MD / St. Mary's) each added one.
The third period saw two more goals by Andrews to lead R-MC into
the final period where the Yellow Jackets would continue to press
the SU defense on 15 shots and four more goals to secure the 13-8
final.
The contests' goals were recorded by Andrews (7), Snodderly (2),
Edwards (2), Clark (10, and Dan Gallucci
(Langley, VA / Langley) (1). The R-MC points were assisted by
Andrews (1), Louie Bafford
(Pheonix, MD / Dulaney) (1), Justin Butler
(Ocean City, MD / Worcester Prep) (1), Clark (1), David Crytser
(Mechanicsville, VA / Atlee) (1), and Snodderly (1).
Freshman goalkeeper Brian Davies (Lynchburg, VA / E.C. Glass)
recorded his third win finishing with six saves.
The Randolph-Macon Men's Lacrosse team returns to Ashland
Friday, March 21 to host Hampden-Sydney for a 7:00 pm ODAC contest
under the lights.
