Box Score TOWSON, Md. – The Randolph-Macon men's lacrosse team
picked up its first win of the 2014 season after topping Goucher
18-12 today in non-conference play.
The Yellow Jackets (1-3) started off hot recording four goals on
11 shots in the first period. Justin Butler
(Ocean City, MD / Worcester Prep) ignited the surge with the first
and third goal of the day while Kyle Snodderly
(Reistertown, MD / Franklin) and Ryan Davidson
(Logan Township, NJ / Kingsway Regional) each notched a goal for
R-MC.
The Yellow Jackets would go on a tear in the second stanza
posting seven goals to take the 11-3 edge at intermission. Goucher
went on to win the third period by outscoring R-MC 4-2 to cut the
Jacket lead to six. The Yellow Jackets would continue their
momentum in the final quarter posting five goals on 13 shots to
take home the 18-12 victory.
R-MC outshot Goucher 45-35 and kept control of the tempo by
winning 28-of-34 faceoffs. Davidson finished with a game-high eight
goals and one assist alongside Butler who tallied three goals and

and Snodderly each notched two goals while Jason Andrews
(Hereford, MD / Hereford), Dan Gallucci
(Langley, VA / Langley), and Alex Jesmer
(Fairfax, VA / Paul VI) each had one. Freshman goalkeeper Brian Davies
(Lynchburg, VA / E.C. Glass) took home his first win with 10
saves.
The Randolph-Macon men's lacrosse team return to action the
Wednesday, March 5 as they host Marywood for a 2:30 pm
non-conference matchup on Day Field.
