Michael Trentham followed two batters later with a single to plate Weymouth and give the Yellow Jackets an early 2-0 lead.

Weymouth scored on a wild pitch in the top of the seventh to push the R-MC advantage to 5-0.
The Generals finally broke through with two outs in the bottom of the ninth when Joe Scalzo tripled in a run. Helbig then retired the next batter to secure the 5-1 Yellow Jacket victory.
