ASHLAND, Va. – Senior running back Will McGhee (Fishersville, Va./St. Anne's Belfield) rushed for 189 yards and four touchdowns as Randolph-Macon outscored Washington and Lee 27-21 in ODAC action in front of a Homecoming crowd of 2,333 at Day Field.

McGhee found the end zone once in each quarter. He had a 40-yard run early in the first quarter and a 16-yard scamper late in the second as the Yellow Jackets (5-1, 3-0 ODAC) took a 14-0 lead at intermission.

After a score by the Generals (3-3, 1-2 ODAC) early in the third period, McGhee rumbled six yards to push the lead back to 14 at 21-7.

W&L added a touchdown in the third and another in the fourth to knot the score at 21-21 with 9:16 remaining in the contest. R-MC put together a 66-yard drive in 11 plays, capped by a three-yard run by McGhee, as the Jackets took a 27-21 advantage with 3:26 left in the contest.

The Generals drove to their own 44, but a fumble with 1:10 remaining allowed the Jackets to run out the clock and secure the victory.

McGhee finished with 31 carries for 189 yards, an average of 6.1 yards per rush. Junior quarterback Zac Naccarato (Spotsylvania, Va./Riverbend) completed 14 of 18 passes for 146 yards and one interception.

Sophomore safety Eric Long (Burke, Va./Lake Braddock) led the Jackets with 9.5 tackles, while freshman linebacker Marcus Mitchell (Chesapeake, Va./Grassfield) added nine solo tackes, two tackles for loss and one quarterback sack.

R-MC travels to Guilford next Saturday for a 1 p.m. ODAC contest in a battle for first place.
