Box Score LYNCHBURG, Va-- Randolph-Macon Baseball's run at the ODAC Tournament ended on Saturday with a pair of losses. R-MC fell to Lynchburg, 2-1 Saturday afternoon at City Stadium. The Yellow Jacketsthen lost to Bridgewater,2-0 in an elimination.
Randolph-Macon concluded the ODAC Tournament with an overall record of 20-18-1.
Against LC, the Hornets took an early 1-0 lead in game one on an RBI single by Zach Fitzpatrick.
Down one in the seventh, R-MC loaded the bases and tied the score on a Jake Fletcher walk that scored Macon Heikes.
LC earned the win in the bottom of the seventh on an RBI by Ashton Paige that scored Dustin Arrowood.
Brian Jordan and Tim Benjamin registered the only hits for the Yellow Jackets in the loss.
Jake Bram took the loss for R-MC, pitching eight innings of two run ball while striking out three. James Womak earned the win for LC, to improve to 3-1 while Jared Millner picked up the save for the Hornets.
In the nightcap,BC struck in the struck in the sixth and eighth innings to earn the 2-0 win.
Jordan Walton and Matt Musser both recorded two hits, Musser belted a triple and Walton registered a double in the loss.
Matt Fischgrund took the loss for R-MC on the hill, tossing seven innings while allowing just two runs. Ryan Wood pitched a scoreless eighth in the losing effort. Dillon Via picked up the win for BC tossing a complete game shutout.
The Jackets return to action, Saturday May 5th when they play host to York. The doubeheader is scheduled for a 1:00 p.m. start.
